John 4:21–24
Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Philippians 2:3–8
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Most of you, when you think about Missions, will think about evangelizing the world. Sending missionaries to other countries. Would you be surprised that Jesus thought that everywhere you put your foot was a missionary field? In Acts 1:8, Jesus says, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and in Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Our Jerusalem is right here in Kinston, our Judea is our state and our Samaria is our country. These are all our mission fields and at Albritton PHC, we focus on all levels of missions.
